The Old House: Blessing

When I came across the abandoned house in the woods I was struck by how quickly the ivy had grown through all the crevices and it and other plants were spreading across the floors even though the back door and the walls were still in good shape and the blessing above the door was still clear. I wanted to capture that sense of nostalgia and sadness for the dreams and aspirations which seemed to have been so quickly abandoned.
