The Old House: Outside In

Foliage is growing through the windows and down the walls- the darkness and emptiness inside in strong contrast to the vigorous growth which threatens to take over.
I used acrylic washes to suggest the deterioration inside, contrasting this with impasto paint to suggest the vibrant growth of the foliage.
