Strands of iridescent DNA

Showing the difference in scale between the nanostructures that create structural colour and the molecules that build them, these strands of DNA represent an intermediate point between the two.
The smaller scale strands of DNA are made of strips of heat treated translucent film. The larger spirals are crocheted with a blend of iridescent yarn.
