Trees mosses lichens

Free machine embroidery using cotton organza threads knitting wool material scraps and copper. The view through the branches of the trees in the botanical gardens inspired this piece. The branches were mottled with mosses, lichens and mistletoe creating beautiful colours and patterns. The beauty of nature surrounds us if only we open our eyes to it.
