Sea Movement

Acrylic on perspex. I returned to the West Pier in Dun Laoghaire to look more closely and make new images as well as develop existing ones of what I see. I painted quickly to achieve a true representation of colour but also to try and capture the sense of energy created by the light, wind and water. I was also conscious of time in space, where the elements and changing climate are consuming old piers, marinas and the stone in buildings.
